Governor Scott signed a proclamation authorizing the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to offer Lifetime Sportsman’s Licenses for Florida children and young adults at a reduced cost. The license currently costs up to $1,000, but from now through December 31, the price will be reduced by 25 percent for Florida residents who are 17 years old and younger. The lifetime license covers saltwater and freshwater recreational fishing, hunting and most associated permits.
Promotional Prices (through December 31 only)
Lifetime Sportsman 0 – 4: $300
Lifetime Sportsman 5 – 12: $525
Lifetime Sportsman 13 – 17: $750
For children under 13 years of age, lifetime licenses can be purchased only at tax collectors’ offices and with the following documentation:
- Certified copy of child’s birth certificate,
- Social Security Card and
- Copy of the Florida driver’s license of one parent whose name appears on the birth certificate.
Children between the ages of 13 and 17 may also use:
- Student ID Card (from Florida school) and
- Parent’s proof of residency (child must be accompanied by the parent at the time of purchase).
