If your tax payment was returned by the Post Office to you incorrectly labeled “RETURN TO SENDER – NOT DELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED – UNABLE TO FORWARD” you can still receive the four percent discount by presenting or sending in the original returned envelope postmarked November 30 or before with your payment.
The Post Office has informed the Escambia County Tax Collector’s Office that a tray of mail destined for the tax collector’s office was misdirected to a machine which incorrectly labelled these items for return to the sender.
