Scott Lunsford, Escambia County Tax Collector, is excited to again offer Saturday driving exams for busy families on August 5, 2017. Testing will be available by appointment only beginning at 8 a.m. at our Marcus Pointe location, 6451 North “W” Street.
“Our first Saturday road testing was successful, so I am happy to provide this additional opportunity for Saturday service.” Lunsford said. “This is all about serving our customers well and fulfilling our vision to provide world-class, innovative and responsive customer service.”
Agents will provide road testing to new drivers seeking a Class E license as well as drivers in need of re-examination. Applicants under the age of 18 are eligible to take the road test if they have had their learner’s permit for a minimum of six months. However, they will not receive their operator’s license until they have held their permit for one full year or reach their 18th birthday. No medical, extended road tests or other services will be available.
Appointments for this special Saturday road testing must be scheduled and paid for in advance through our call center. Payment can be made via electronic check, credit or debit card, and a convenience fee may apply. The date is fast approaching, so customers are encouraged to schedule soon. To make your Saturday appointment, please call (850) 438-6500, ext. 3252.
