AVOID PENALTIES – Your Property Taxes
Become Delinquent April 1
Have you paid your real estate and/or tangible personal property taxes yet? If not, Janet Holley, Escambia County Tax Collector, reminds you that all unpaid taxes will be delinquent April 1. A penalty of 3% for real estate and 1½% for tangible taxes will be assessed. Over $28 million remains unpaid, representing 11% of the tax roll.
Payments will be accepted without penalty if:
- mailed with a postmark by March 31; or
- left in any of our 24-hour drop boxes available at all offices by midnight March 31; or
- made on our website by midnight March 31.
You are encouraged to pay your taxes online; however, other options are available, such as payment by phone, by mail, and in person at any of the three convenient tax collector offices.
Drive through service and 24-hour drop boxes are available at all offices. You may check the status of your taxes and pay online at www.EscambiaTaxCollector.com.
If you have any questions, please call the tax collector’s office at 438-6500, ext. 3252.
