Help Us “End Hunger One Helping at a Time”
The employees of Scott Lunsford, Escambia County Tax Collector, are teaming up with Manna and sponsoring a food drive from October 7 through November 15, 2019 to help Manna provide healthy food to area residents.
The most needed items are:
- Canned fruit in 100 percent juice
- Breakfast items, such as oatmeal, whole grain cereal, grits
- Canned Carrots and Mixed Vegetables
- Canned Tuna and Chicken
- Canned Green Vegetables (peas, spinach, turnip greens)
- Canned Yellow Vegetables
- Peanut Butter
How can you help? You can drop off your nonperishable food items at any of our four office locations Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
“Our community is a giving community.” Lunsford said. “By sponsoring this food drive, we hope to provide a convenient avenue for those visiting our offices to assist those who may need a helping hand.”
“Food insecurity is a national problem.” Lunsford continued. “However, if we come together and take action, we can help ‘End Hunger One Helping at a Time.’”
