Scott Lunsford, Escambia County Tax Collector, reminds everyone that all 2018 unpaid real estate and tangible personal property taxes must be paid and receipted by 4:30 p.m. on April 30 to avoid being advertised as delinquent. Drop box payments made by midnight April 30 will be accepted at the April rate but still will be advertised.
The delinquent advertisement will be published in the Pensacola News Journal on May 9, 16 and 23. This list will be available on the certificate sale website BidEscambia.com on May 3.
Payments must be processed:
- online by midnight CDT, Tuesday, April 30
- in person at any of our four convenient tax collector offices by 4:30 p.m. CDT, Tuesday, April 30
- by phone – call 438-6500, ext. 3252 by 4:30 p.m. CDT, Tuesday, April 30
- by drop box (available at all locations) – delivered by midnight CDT, Tuesday, April 30
All late payments will be returned for additional fees.
Taxpayers are encouraged to visit EscambiaTaxCollector.com to pay online 24 hours a day. Online services allow customers to pay their taxes, search records, print receipts, renew vehicle and vessel registrations and many other services. Customers who decide to visit one of the four convenient offices can join the line online at EscambiaTaxCollector.com and manage their time their way. Citizens select an office location and type of service, receive a message with approximate service time and then continue their regular activities until the service time approaches.
Customers can visit the payment center at EscambiaTaxCollector.com to check the status of property taxes, pay online or print a receipt. Taxpayers are encouraged to contact the tax collector’s office by email ectc@EscambiaTaxCollector.com or by phone with any questions.
