Scott Lunsford, Escambia County Tax Collector, reminds everyone that the one percent discount on payment of real estate and tangible personal property taxes ends Wednesday, February 28.
To receive the one percent discount, payments must be:
- mailed with a February postmark;
- left by midnight, CST, February 28, in a 24-hour drop box available at all locations; or
- made online by midnight, CST, February 28, at EscambiaTaxCollector.com.
Citizens are encouraged to pay taxes online; however, other options are available, such as payment by phone, by mail or in person at any of the four convenient tax collector offices.
Customers can join the line from anywhere online at EscambiaTaxCollector.com or download the QLess app (available on iTunes and Google Play) and manage their time accordingly. Once you select your office location and type of service, you will receive a message with your approximate service time. You may continue your regular activities until your service time approaches. You will receive status updates, be able to request additional time, if necessary, or cancel your visit if unable to make it. The system empowers customers to better manage their time.
To check the status of your taxes or to pay online, visit our website at EscambiaTaxCollector.com. Taxpayers are encouraged to contact the tax collector’s office by email at ectc@EscambiaTaxCollector.com or by phone at (850) 438-6500, ext 3252 with any questions.
