Tax Collector Offices Continue to Serve Citizens

During this trying time, the employees of the Escambia County Tax Collector’s office are working hard to serve citizens in new ways and with new tools.

While our lobbies and call center are closed, our payment center is available at all times at EscambiaTaxCollector.com. The following transactions are available online:

  • Property Tax by Online Payment Center Only
    Make property tax payments online at EscambiaTaxCollector.com. Review full payment history, research and print prior years receipts and search ownership by name or address.
  • Business Tax Receipts by Online Payment Center Only
    Our Payment Center allows you to create an original or renew or edit a current record. It’s a great way to locate a business in our county. Searching by keywords such as plumbing will create a list of licensed plumbing businesses.
  • Registration Renewal by Online Renewal Only
    License plate or tag renewals MUST be renewed online using our convenient RenewExpress system. Same day pick up available at the office you choose. After renewing, you will receive emailed notification to come pick up at a drive‑up window.

We are processing transactions unavailable online by use of our “Join the Line” phone queue. Access the queue online at EscambiaTaxCollector.com, where every available agent is busy returning calls in the order they are received. We encourage you to visit our webpage prior to entering the phone queue, as many resources are available including our A-Z search index. Critical information is displayed in red. We have all five drive-up lanes open all day for pick up of completed items after your business has been accomplished online or by phone.

  • Telephone Queue by “Join the Line”
    Customers “Join the Line” via web page at EscambiaTaxCollector.com. The call will be returned in the order it was received. Please be prepared before joining the phone queue, as we are unable to hold while information is gathered. If not prepared, you will be asked to rejoin the queue once you have all your information ready. You must have your driver license, tag number, VIN, pen, paper and payment information.

Calls will be from a 438 County exchange or 595 State exchange. Unanswered calls will be removed from the queue. You will receive an estimated call back time. We are generally calling much sooner than the estimated wait.

  • How it Works
    An agent will return your call, determine your need, assist you and collect payment. If your transaction requires us to prepare items for you, the items are delivered by drive-up window. Please don’t arrive before the scheduled time, as this delays the line.
  • Supporting Documents
    You may be asked to email documents to the agent who is assisting you. When requested, please ensure to include your name, transaction type and office location in the subject line of the email. The agent will get your information, collect the required fees and provide a time to pick up items, if needed. You must bring your original documents with you to the office when picking up your items.
  • Driver License by Phone Queue Only (choose Driver License Suspension)
    Most driver license reinstatements can be cleared by phone. You will be required to email state-required clearance documents to be helped. You can order a replacement license through our webpage.
  • Expiring Driver Licenses (choose Driver License No Suspension)
    If your Florida driver license is scheduled to expire in March or April, the State has given an automatic 30‑day extension. A temporary authorization letter can be printed from our website EscambiaTaxCollector.com. This is for expiring licenses only; all suspensions are still valid and displayed on your record. Use our Driver License Check to determine your status.
  • Vehicle Registration by Phone Queue Only (choose Original Registrations)
    In most cases we can issue a temporary license plate with emailed proof of ownership and Florida insurance. You will use our drive‑up window to receive the temporary license plate after the agent has completed the transaction.
  • Florida Birth Certificates by Phone Queue Only (choose Florida Birth Certificate)
    Florida birth certificates are available by application only. The application must be completed online prior to joining the phone queue. Certificates can be ordered and received by either parent listed on the certificate or by the child if he or she is over 18.
  • Disabled Parking Placards by Phone Queue Only (choose Handicapped Parking Placard)
    Disabled parking placards are available by application only. The application is available in our Forms Center or through the A-Z search index.
