April is Autism Awareness Month
In honor of National Autism Month, we are featuring the “Support Autism Programs” specialty license plate. The proceeds from the sale of this plate go to Achievement and Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (www.arcbroward.com). National Autism month promotes autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all, and assures that each person with ASD is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life. This year, the Autism Society wants to go beyond simply promoting autism awareness to encouraging friends and collaborators to become partners in movement toward acceptance and appreciation.
This plate was introduced in September 2009 and to date there are 76 active plates in Escambia County and 6,342 active plates throughout the state. The plate has an annual fee of $30 plus registration fees.
